This classic Edwardian ring was a staple of any woman's jewelry case in the early 1900's. A wonderful graver set five stone ring. Sometime it was all diamonds, or emeralds and diamonds, rubies and diamonds, but of course sapphires and diamonds was a must. These days they make excellent stacking rings, mix and match your colors, or wear all the same. They also make excellent wedding bands, for men and ladies, you really can’t go wrong in any way with a ring like this one, it’s just a classic!
Hand made in Chester, England in the year 1909, this fantastic ring has a look and style that is truly timeless. Here is a ring which is as stylish and relevant today as it was when it was made well over 100 years ago. Set with two bright and lively rubies, one old European and two rose cut diamonds, this ring shines like stars on a rich summer night. Completely hand crafted in 18 karat gold with wonderful hand engraved shoulders, this ring has a nice heft and is extremely comfortable to wear. Bearing a full set of English hallmarks indicating that it was made in Chester in 1909, it also has the number '18' indicating the karat of the gold, a maker's mark 'B.U.Ltd', as well as an insurance inventory number. With a lovely wide, smooth band and unobtrusive inset gems, this ring is extremely comfortable on, and would be very suitable for every day wear. The band measures 8.8 mm north to south and tapers to 5.4 mm at the back. It measures 15 mm across its face and sits 1.8 mm off the finger. It is a US size 6.5 at the moment , but could be sized a up or down a bit. It weighs 4 grams.
