Victorian Diamond Emerald Ring Hallmarked 1897

This elegant Victorian ring was handcrafted in Chester, England in 1897. It’s an antique bauble made in 18 karat gold and weighing in at 3.7 grams. It features two round faceted emeralds patterned among three old European cut diamonds. Altogether, the diamonds weigh approximately .2 carats. The emeralds weigh approximately .1 total carats. This charmer is a size 7.25 US. The ring face measures 5.1 x 18.1 and it sits 2.3 mm off the finger, it narrows to 2.25 mm at the back of the band. This piece has been fully hallmarked, it bears the crown mark for England, the gold purity mark, “18”, the mark for Chester, and the date letter, “o”. The maker’s mark reads, “H&S”.
