She sat on the plane smiling to herself. She could still feel his touch on her skin, still smell him in the sweatshirt that she’d stolen temporarily to revel in his warm and woodsy scent on the way home. She gazed down at her hand at the bright and lively diamonds that were sending prisms and rainbows around the cabin. Across the aisle a baby in its father’s arms caught sight of the beams of light and giggled. She giggled back and thought how this was in her future. She’d asked, he’d said yes, and surprised her with a ring of gold and diamonds. She hadn’t needed such a thing, but now that she was making rainbows, she was pretty sure she could get used to it. She looked at the baby again and thought, yes, she could get used to all of it.
This wonderful ring would make a perfect jewel for any occasion, including the most important of them. It is set with three extraordinarily nice diamonds, very white and clean stones even under my microscope. The ring is set with 3 diamonds, the largest at the center is about .3 carats, the other two about .24 carats each for a total diamond weight in this ring of 0.78 cttw. The ring measures 5.5 mm north to south and 18 mm across, it sits 4.2 mm off the finger and narrows to 3 mm at the back of the band, This ring was hand crafted with great style in about 1910 of 18 karat gold, it is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested to insure purity. This ring is a size 6.25 and weighs 5 grams. A stunning ring with very bright and sparkly diamonds. They make rainbows!
