If you love antiques, and you're in London, there is only one place that you absolutely cannot miss, it's called Gray's Antique Centre and it houses hundreds of dealers selling everything from ancient artifacts to art deco gems. Gray's can be found hiding just off of Oxford Street in a lovely terra-cotta wedge of a building in the heart of London's West End (speaking of west ends, the building was built in the 19th century by John Bolding and Son as a toilet factory - hence the nickname 'John' for toilet). Give yourself some time because Gray's has actually spread out over the years and now sprawls over two floors of exquisite dealers. It's enough to make even the most novice antique collector as giddy as a schoolgirl!
I found this ring at Gray's on a Thursday morning. Hand crafted in 15 karat gold, this highly stylized signet ring is set with a smooth, un-carved oval of Onyx. The shoulders of this ring are beautifully adorned with a scroll and arrow motif. This ring is fully hallmarked with the marks for having been made in Birmingham, England in 1874 of 15 karat gold, it also has the makers mark of ‘C.G’. The ring is a size 8 US and weighs 7 grams. The onyx measures 13.4 mm north to south and 10.1 mm across, the overall face of the ring is 15.3 mm north to south and 15.3 mm across, it sits 4.2 mm off the finger and narrows to 4.6 mm at the back of the band.
This wonderful ring is very crisp and super stylish, perfect for a woman or man.

She woke up to a rustic, metallic autumn morning. Coffee. It's always time for more coffee. And a good book. Coffee and Hemingway.
Sigh. It's the simple things.
Walking her chocolate lab, Minnie. Jumping with her galoshes in crunchy piles of orange and brown leaves. Watching the cloud shapes morph as they pass over the lake. More coffee.
And rings like this one. Solid, simple, sparkling in the autumn morning sun. Flashing with each throw of a beloved tennis ball.
This Victorian 18k gold diamond buckle ring was handcrafted in Birmingham, England in 1873. There are two old cut diamonds adorning this ring, totaling .3 carats total weight. Inside the shank there are various hallmarks-a crown (England), the number 18 (gold), and anchor (Birmingham), the letter y (1875), and a maker's mark that reads, 'CyBs’, for the goldsmith firm of Coley Brothers. The band is 6.5 mm wide, and 1.5 mm thick. This piece has been professionally acid tested to ensure 18k gold. This ring is a size 8 and weighs 9.3 grams.
Buckle rings signify commitment and strong relationships. I promise you won't have any trouble committing to this stunning ring.
