She stood underneath the summer moon, barefoot in a long floral skirt, smelling the honeycomb in the air. Her sandy blonde hair was parted down the middle and her bold brown eyes watched the wind blow by. She turned her transistor radio up to here the long-ago jazz play against the night’s heat. She danced with him, swaying and swirling, just the two of them and the crickets. As she twirled her skirt and pearl necklace followed, like a carousel around her.

The clean lines, the bright and glowing faceted aquamarine contrasting with a creamy pearl, the whiplash design, all speak to the designer in my soul.

The collective belief that says all new things are better than old is an old wives’ tale that I’m ready to abolish. Take a break from the usual and enter the antique side of things. I’ll warn you, it’s quite irresistible and rather addicting. Progressing backward in fashion goes against the flow, it defies logic - but darling, I think you’re due for a bit of rebellion.
This antique Art Nouveau moonstone necklace was handcrafted around 1900. It showcases that classic whiplash motif and is set with an oval cabochon moonstone at the center. The stone has a great flash of blue and measures 8 x 5.5 x 3.8 mm. The drop measures 46 mm north to south and 28.4 mm across. This piece bears no marks and has been acid tested. This lovely necklace measures 17 inches in length and it weighs 6.8 grams.
Style is as style does and my goodness this necklace most certainly does. I understand how obvious it sounds, but I don’t mind saying it - this piece is exceptional, and it belongs around your fabulous neck.

It was someone else’s wedding and the bridesmaid dress you were required to wear was a weird shade of green. You held on to the fact that your necklace was your saving grace. It received so many compliments that most didn’t even notice the eccentric ruffled gown. There’s something to be said about the distraction of honey colored beads wrapped around a beautiful woman’s neck. It’s ravishing. It garners an entire room’s attention by simply turning on a light.
This beautiful Victorian silver and amber bead necklace was handcrafted in England, around 1900, during the height of the Arts and Crafts movement. It bears 10 spherical amber beads, all approximately 10 mm in diameter, with a milky rich yellow color. It is a chain link necklace, 23 inches in length, with pretty flower charms between each amber bead. It weighs 10.9 grams and is marked, “STERLING”.
The Ancient Greek historian, Nicias, believed that amber was made of drops of sweat formed on the earth as the sun set beneath the waves. There’s no arguing the power in the addictiveness of amber, it’s truly natures treasure and it belongs around your neck!
