Set all in 14 karat gold, this rosary bears no marks, but tests as 14 karat gold. Judging from style and materials, I feel that this piece is most likely Russian. The hand cut beads and fully hand crafted rosary date to about 1880-90. The rosary contains 59 golden citrine beads which vary in size between 7.8 and 9 millimeters in diameter, it is 26 inches long not including the pendant. The crucifix has a plaque above it with the letters ‘INRI’, which in Latin is ‘Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum’, or ‘Jesus Christ, King of the Jews’. This rosary weighs 45.8 grams.
