Victorian Silver Scottish Pebble Thistle Cross Pendant

I can see her now, standing at the edge of the Isle of Harris, watching the waves of the Atlantic hit the rock. She can taste the saltwater in the warm air as the wind blows by, swirling her long red curls all around her head. The pendant she wears matches the lands she stands on, with the thistle motif at the center of a Maltese Cross, set with native Scottish stones. It is Gaelic, it is in her blood.

This large antique Scottish silver pebble pendant was handcrafted in Scotland around 1880. This thistle themed cross pendant features orange-red agate and dark green bloodstone that make up the arms of the cross with a thistle, the symbol of Scotland, at the center. The edges are engraved, adding even more detail to the piece. It measures 68.5 x 57 mm and weighs 22.4 grams. There are no hallmarks and it has been acid tested.

This piece of pebble jewelry would look amazing on a matching silver chain or a black silk chord, as long as it is strung around your neck!
