Early Art Deco 5 Diamond Ring Band Stacking

They walked along the sand hand in hand as the sun rose over the ocean. He’d woken her just before dawn with warm hands and soft kisses and then scooped her out of bed and dragged her out the back door and through the dunes to the ocean’s edge. The sky turned orange and then pink and then purple. The rays of the sun burst through and he lifted her hand still wrapped in his to his lift and kissed it gently. Then he slipped on a band of diamonds and they sparkled like a promise in the first light of day.

This fantastic and romantic five stone diamond ring dates to the late 1910s or early 1920s. It is set with a glittering array of old European cut diamonds which add up to approximately .6 carats in diamonds. The ring measures 5.2 mm north to south and 19 mm across at the face and narrows to 1.9 mm at the back of the band, it sits 3.1 mm off the finger. The ring is marked inside the band with ’18ct’ and ‘Plat’, it is a size 8.25 and weighs 3.8 grams.
