Edwardian Ruby Diamond Ring 18k Gold Inscribed

This truly lovely antique Edwardian ruby and diamond gypsy set gold ring was handcrafted in Birmingham, England in 1910. The two dark pink old cut rubies flank a single sparkling rose cut diamond, each lovingly set in star patterned gypsy setting, hand carved into the warm, rose hued 18 karat gold. There are even pretty little engraved heart details on the shoulders and a hand engraved border to melt the heart of your true love.

Together, the rubies weigh approximately .16 carats, and though the center stone would be difficult to estimate accurately, the rose cut diamond measures approximately 2.1 mm in diameter. This ring is a size 6 US and weighs 3.1 grams. The face measures 9.2 x 17.2 x 2 mm off the finger and the band width is 3.7 mm at the back. This fabulous Edwardian ring has been fully hallmarked and bears the crown for England, the anchor for Birmingham, the gold purity mark, “18” for 18 karat, and the date letter “l” for 1910. It also bears the lovely message "From Harry to Lill" inscribed inside the band.
