Antique Victorian Silver Collar Necklace

$ 1,420.00

Are you a sexy steampunk kind of girl? Do you have a little rock and roll rebel in your soul? These Victorians had the collar figured out and this one would go as well with a leather jacket as it ever did with a velvet corset, although it would go quite nicely with that, too.

A collar like this one can be worn lots of different ways, you can wear it with the clasp in front and a locket or a different bauble dropped off of it, or you can remove the locket and wear it with the clasp in back as a very smart choker. You can wear it with the engraved side up for a little extra visual interest, or you can wear it with the smooth side up for a sleeker look.

This hand crafted beauty was made in England in about 1880. It has the smooth, silky feel that only old sterling seems able to achieve. The collar is 16 inches long and 21.1 mm wide. The collar weighs 60.6 grams. It is crafted of sterling silver and while unmarked, it has been acid tested.

A substantial piece of jewelry for a woman with a substantial sense of style.
