Victorian Double Buckle Silver Ring Hallmarked 1883

$ 580.00

The Victorian sentiment was strong for symbols of the eternal, they loved things that went round and round, with seemingly no beginning and no end; the epitome of romantic love, a love for all eternity. Snakes and belts were two of their favorite forms to use when representing this love with no end, and this double belted buckle ring has probably made someone a fine wedding band once in it’s life already.

This stylish, wide, sterling silver band was hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1883 and is a fully hallmarked piece by the maker “A.S”. The band measures 7.7 mm wide and is a size 7, it will fit a bit snug because of the wide width of the ring. The ring weighs 3.4 grams.
