Victorian Silver Shell Earrings in Twisted Wire Frames

The Victorians were very into natural forms and natural objects. They used leaf and flower forms in the majority of their jewels and they even used bits of real nature like these wonderful little seashells.

Set in silver mounts, these wonderful earrings were hand crafted in about 1880. The earrings measure 39 mm from top to bottom and 19.5 mm across. Each is set with a shell in hues of gray, white and orange/yellow. These wonderful and natural earrings weighs 9.2 grams together.
