Art Deco Old European Cut 5 Diamond Ring Engagement 1.44cttw

My heart belongs to the Roaring Twenties. Between F. Scott Fitzgerald, T.S. Eliot, Louis Armstrong, and the Charleston, I know I was born decades too late. Ladies donned flapper dresses with t-strap heals and beaded headbands. Jewelry was minimal, so they had to make it count. I would have worn a long pearl necklace to accentuate my bob and on my hand would be this dazzling ring, sparkling as I adjust my silk fringe wrap.
This is a ring that glitters and glitters and glitters. This antique piece was handcrafted around 1915-20. It’s a five-stone diamond 18 karat gold and platinum stunner on a size 6.75 band that weighs 2.8 grams. The largest diamond is at the center, measuring 4.8 x 3 mm and weighing 0.50 carats. Altogether, the Old European cut stones weigh approximately 1.44 carats. The ring face measures 5 mm north to south and 19.5 mm across the face and sits 4.9 mm off the finger, it narrows to 2 mm at the back of the band. It is marked 18ct and it has been acid tested, the diamonds are set in platinum.
This engagement ring (or wedding band, or anniversary ring or just because you deserve it ring) is to die for! It’s elegant and charming, glittering and simple.
