In the 1950s, when you had cocktails at 5 o’clock and you did it in heels, rings like this were required. Cocktail rings, made for just the occasion. Now, they’re purely optional. Doesn’t that just make them better?

This ring was designed by H. Stern in the mid-50s as an ode to the Sputnik satellite that the Soviets launched into space, starting the Space race and the craze for all things space. This ring was made in Brazil and is set with a selection of garnet, amethyst, citrine, blue topaz and tourmalines, all about 3-3.6 mm in diameter.

This Sputnik dome-style ring was hand crafted in 18k gold and is marked 750 and 18k, and it also bears a maker's mark for the H. Stern Company. The face of this ring measures 18 mm north to south and 19 mm across, it sits 11.3 mm off the finger and it’s a size 6.75 weighing 3.8 grams.

A lovely and very crisp example of this classic Mid-Century Iconic jewel!

It is currently a size 7.25, but it can be re-sized free of charge. The ring is in good condition with light surface wear to the gemstones.
