Antique 18k Gold Alliance Ring Wedding Band

When choosing a wedding band, I typically recommend something simple but with a twist. Sometimes, that little something special is an inscription of love, or an engraving of something personal. Other times, it’s the way the ring itself is made. This ring has a hidden romantic nature, a puzzle for eternal love, if you will. It’s an endearing piece as when removed from the finger it breaks into two parts and forms back into one interlocking band, or alliance, when worn.

This romantic gold ring was handcrafted around 1840 and is likely French, this one is blank, but often there was a secret inscription between the two halves of the ring, you could put yours there. It’s a size 10.25 US and weighs 4.75 grams. It was made in 18 karat gold and has been acid tested. The ring face measures 1.1 mm off the finger and the band width is 5 mm at the back.

This ring would make a perfect promise ring or wedding band; and would be equally good looking for a man or a woman.
