Antique 3 Sapphire Diamond Ring 18k Gold Victorian

There are a lot of blues out there in the world, the sky alone seems to contain an uncountable number of shades of blue. Robins egg blue on a clear day, a particular shade of turquoise, rich cobalt blue and dark azure like the desert sky at night; and don’t even get me started on the blues of the oceans and the seas. This ring is set with midnight blue sapphires, the kind that draw you in with rich flashes of deepest night.

This three stone sapphire and diamond ring was hand crafted, most likely in England in about 1905-1910. The ring is set with three slightly oval, faceted sapphires, the stones add up to about 2.85 carats in total weight and there are tiny diamonds between each stone for a winking, bright accent. The face of this ring measures 7.4 mm north to south and 18.1 mm across, it sits 4.1 mm off the finger and narrows to 2.2 mm at the back of the band. This size 5.75 ring weighs 4 grams. It is unmarked but has been acid tested to verify its 18 karat gold content.
