She had a restless and curious soul, constantly striking up conversations and chasing after the wind. The locket around her neck was a charm she picked up along the way. It was one of those things she decided should go with her on her adventures, keeping her company. Her wandering spirit led her to a coastal town with a red striped lighthouse and a small old fashioned diner. She sat at the counter with a newspaper and strong coffee, listening as the locals chattered about fishing and the ever-changing weather.
This antique Art Nouveau silver slide locket was handcrafted in France. It was made around 1890. This wonderful oval locket features a pea pod motif on the front and some curling pod tendrils at the back, it has a locket with frame when open. It measures 66.5 mm north to south and 37 mm across and is 7.7 mm thick. This locket is marked with the French boars head mark for silver and the makers mark ‘MB’. It weighs in at 29 grams. I love that this pod locket is bean shaped, it slides open easily and latches at the bottom.
