Antique Arts & Crafts Citrine and Silver Ring by Zoltan White & Co., c. 1910

It was her favorite time of year, the time when autumn leaves fell off maple trees, leaving colors of amber and citrine in her path. She walked with a long stride in her bell-bottoms and booties. A soy latte in one hand and a brown leather bag in the other, she had places to go and people to see. She wore this ring, it was like her, autumnal in nature, easy going, but sparkly.

This antique Arts and Crafts citrine and silver ring was handcrafted by Zoltan White & Co around 1910 in England. It is a cluster ring with nine citrine stones, the largest is in the center. It is cabochon cut and measures 8.5 x 7 mm. The outer stones alternate between a rich orange and a soft yellow in color and are very sparkly, especially in low light. This piece is fully marked with the ‘Silver’, ‘Made in England’, and the maker’s mark that reads, ‘ZW & CO’. This wonderful piece is a size 7.5 and weighs in at 5.9 grams. The face of the ring measures 18.2 mm north to south and 14.5 across, and it sits 7.65 mm off the finger.

Zoltan White was a famous jewelry designer. He trained in Budapest, Hungary and so his work has a distinctive Austro-Hungarian feel. This ring was made in England, where he worked from 1900 to 1950.
