Antique Arts & Crafts Silver and Amber Pendant by Grann & Laglye, Circa 1915

Some days in life call for diamonds. If you’re in a wedding dress, if the invite says ‘white tie’, and sometimes just for fun on a Friday night with a little black dress. Other days, though, call for something a bit more casual. If you’re dining on the water at The Reeds or going out to the Princeton Bar on a warm July night, then you might want to wear something a bit more like this. Jewelry that’s intriguing and fabulous, but not too fancy!

This gorgeous pendant was made by the Danish company Grann & Laglye, which operated in Copenhagen from 1906-1955. This pendant is set with a rich, opaque orange amber gem that measures 18.5 mm across and has a matching amber teardrop that measures 14x9 mm. The pendant is 77 mm long and 31.5 mm across and 7 mm deep, it weighs 9 grams. This pendant is crafted in 830 silver and is marked with the ‘GL’ for Grann & Laglye and ‘830S’ on the reverse.
