She sat on the beach without a towel to lay on, because she liked to feel the grains between her toes, while her skin tinted from the warm yellow sun. She always seemed to find her way back to the salty teal ocean where the neon coral, graceful dolphins and forest green seaweed lived. She wore rings made of her favorite things, like pearls, that grew from water.
This Victorian paste and pearl silver gilt ring was handcrafted in Austro-Hungary in 1890. A marquise shaped pearl is concentrically encircled with 15 bright round cut emeralds which are surrounded by 33 shiny cloud white seed pearls, and then encircled with 23 more gorgeous emeralds. The center pearl is 8 x 4.4 x 3.5 mm. The shank is geometrically engraved. It is approximately a size 3.75 US and weighs 4.7 grams. The ring is unmarked and has been tested to verify metal content.
This ring makes me think of that zen feeling when the waves hit the beach, and how the sun rays tan my skin.
