Antique Blue Enamel Marcasite Ring

We sat beneath the maple trees at dusk, surrounded by larkspur and the bluest of blue skies that matched the ring on my finger. She and I sipped on lavender lemonade and we leaned back in our Adirondack chairs, watching the sun crawl across the sky. This ring matched the mood of laidback elegance; it was lively yet serene. The clouds changed shape along with the conversation and by the end of it all we swore we’d do it again, same time next year. I’ll wear the same ring, she’ll bring the lemonade.

This antique Victorian gold ring was handcrafted in England around 1910. It features blue enamel on the face with a border of faceted marcasites set in silver over 9 karat gold. The center of the ring face showcases a motif of flowers. The ring face measures 16 x 16.4 x 6 mm off the finger and the band width measures 1.6 mm at the back. This ring is a size 5.75 and it weighs 3.4 grams. It has been acid tested.

Dazzle them with enamel and dare them with marcasite. Trust me, they won’t mind.
