Antique Charles Horner Enamel Silver Necklace Mother of Pearl

Charles Horner was born in England, in 1837. Between his knack for innovative design and his wonderful marketing skills, he founded a thriving business in the 1860s that produced silver jewelry and ornaments, and outlasted two world wars. The business was based in Halifax, England, and was known for its Art Nouveau pendants, necklaces, hatpins, silver thimbles, and knot brooches. Charles passed in 1896 and his two sons took over the company which thrived until 1984.

This antique silver drop enamel necklace was handcrafted in Chester, England in 1913.
