Antique Cut Steel Early Victorian Earrings with 9k Gold Wires

She wore a leather jacket with cut steel dangling earrings. Her motorcycle was matte black and her hair was whisked in caramel shades. She looked like she would wear combat boots but her feet were donned in velvet black heels. He didn’t know what to make of her, which was more than okay since he was a fan of surprises.

The components of these antique early Victorian earrings were handcrafted in England around 1870. The tops doubtless started off life as buttons or buckles and the drops came perhaps from a purse or collar. Sometime in their history the pieces were married together to form this wonderful set of drop earrings. I've no real idea when they were converted, I purchased them this way in London. The components are cut steel and brass and the earrings have 9 karat gold wires. Reminiscent of a dream catcher, faceted beads of metal, which look a bit like a disco ball, encircle a large light-reflecting droplet of shining faceted metal. Three chains drop from the top plate, adding even more style. These earrings weigh 14.9 grams. They measure 2 ¼ x 7/8 inches and have been acid tested.

Be a bombshell, astonish the masses and surprise your own sense of style with these striking and wonderful cut steel beauties.
