Antique Early Victorian Paste Silver Pendant Heart Locket

It could be Georgian, this one, it’s difficult to say. I was willing to have it either way because I was charmed by it’s beauty and style. This fully hand crafted locket is done in sterling silver with a rose gold frame at the front and a fully opening locket at the back. The heart and bow was a very popular subject in the Georgian and early Victorian period and this one is just lovely!

This wonderful locket is set with 32 golden brown round faceted paste gems. Right now there is a piece of black fabric inside, but this could be removed so that a photo could be placed inside. Measuring 39.4 mm north to south and 21.2 mm across, this pendant/locket weighs 6.1 grams. It is marked with '925' for sterling silver and a hallmark that I can't quite make out. I believe it's Continental in origin and dates to between 1820-1850, it's very hard to pin down.
