Antique Edwardian 9K Gold Emerald Pendant with Rubies and Pearls

My husband’s family has a lake home in the north woods of Wisconsin. There is a long hill between the back of the house and the lake which is covered in lily of the valley plants from top to bottom. The smell of the lilies combines with the smell of the piney woods and the fresh water of the lake to form the most heady perfume on early summer days. When I saw this pendant my mind conjured this smell and made me long for summer days by the lake.

This antique 9 karat gold pendant was handcrafted around 1910 in England during the Edwardian era. The whimsical lily of the valley motif is adorned with 11 pearls sized at 1.8 mm in diameter, and 4 rubies, the largest measuring 3.1 x 3.3 mm. A .04 carat square-cut emerald accentuates the flowing design. PTA20751VA The overall piece measures 31.3 mm long x 22.3 mm across. This delightful pendant weighs 2.2 grams. There is a partial makers mark and the pendant has been acid tested to verify its gold content.
