Rain dripped from the sky like sand through an hourglass, counting the seconds as the afternoon passed. She sat outside, in the summertime heat, under the roofing of her front porch, with iced tea and a big slice of lemon. She watched as children ran and jumped in puddles, as dogs chased their owners down just to shake water on them. Dragonflies fluttered between raindrops, racing each other, dashing back and forth, leaving blurs of neon in their wake. Her cotton dress had its own golden dragonfly, pinned near her heart, so she could take summer with her wherever she decided to go.
This antique Edwardian gold dragonfly brooch pin was handcrafted around 1910. It was made in 9 karat gold, in England. This charming brooch features a beautiful pale violet amethyst that measures 5.6 x 7.9 x 3.4 mm. This piece measures 50 x 41.7 mm and weighs in at 5.9 grams. It’s marked with the gold purity mark, ‘9ct’.
Take summertime memories with you with this stylish golden dragonfly pin!

Even a casual gardener would see the beauty that I see in this ring. Straight on, this ring reminds me of of a delicious sugar snap pea split open! Except that this sparkly pea looks like a professional gardener grew it! Maybe Midas?
This sweet Edwardian delight is filled with 5 graduated diamonds which add up to approximately 0.25 carats total. The diamonds are all beautiful bright Old Europeans Mine cuts. This ring is fully hallmarked with the English assay marks for Birmingham, England where it was made and the letter code for 1913. It is also stamped '18' for 18k gold and bears the makers mark 'J.J&S'. No doubt originally given as a gift of love and affection, it is inscribed on the inside of the shank with cursive engraving which reads 'H.G.A to J.M.Mc.B'. With it's flowing, scrolling lines, it follows the organic Art Nouveau look prevalent in that time period. It weighs 2.7 grams and is a size 8.5. It could be carefully sized up or down by a skilled jeweler with an eye towards preserving the hallmarks.
This would make a classical and sweet wedding or engagement ring or just something to show your affection, like the first giver did 99 years ago!
