Antique Edwardian Opal Diamond Gold Ring 5 Stone

I was browsing an antique store in London one spring afternoon, I’d give you the name of the place but it’s one of those local gems I can’t bring myself to share. As per usual, something glittery caught my eye. My instincts were entangled with impulsion and before I knew it, it was on my finger, complementing my leather jacket, bringing out the blue flecks of my eyes. I couldn’t imagine not having it there, it was made for my hand, a revolution in such a simple treasure.

This antique opal and diamond ring was handcrafted in England around 1910. There are five oval cabochon opals across the ring face, patterned with eight old cut diamonds. Each of the diamonds measure 1.3 mm in diameter, totaling approximately .08 carats. The largest opal can be found at the center, it measures 7.2 x 5.4 x 1.5 mm. The smallest opal measures 5 x 3.9 x 1.3 mm. This ring is a size 9.5 and it weighs 5.4 grams. The ring face measures 8 x 20.5 x 4.4 mm off the finger and the band width is 2.1 mm at the back. It bears the crown mark for England, the gold purity mark, “750”, and it has a maker’s mark.

You are the thing you glance at before leaving the house for the day, make sure you look good, head to toe to fingertip. This ring of color should do the trick.
