Antique Edwardian Pink Zircon Pendant Gold

Zircon is one of the oldest gems in the world, clocking in at around 4.4 billion years, just half a billion years shy of the age of the earth. Due to its crystal structure, zircon scientifically has one of the liveliest displays of sparkle. George Kunz, the famous Tiffany and Co’s vice president of gemology from 1879 to 1932, wanted to call the zircon ‘Starlight’ because of how fiery the stone was.

This antique Edwardian pink zircon pendant was handcrafted in England around 1910. It’s an adorable pendant made in 9 karat gold with a rosy hue, set with three round bright fuchsia pink zircons at the center. Each stone measures 4.6 mm in diameter and 3.4 mm in depth, for a weight of 1.8 carats total. Overall, this pendant measures 30 x 22.6 mm and it weighs 2.2 grams. It bears the gold purity mark, “9ct” and the maker’s mark, “M&C”.

Wear fireworks around your neck with this fiery cluster pendant!

A note from Victoria: Zircon is a gem whose color can be affected by intense UV light, it’s not recommended to wear zircon in a tanning bed or when getting a gel manicure.
