Antique Edwardian Sapphire Diamond 18K Ring Hallmarked 1904

This superb 7 stone 18 karat gold ring was handcrafted in Chester, England in 1904. At center, a lovely sapphire, surrounded by 6 glittery old European cut diamonds. The sapphire measures 4.8x3.7x2.4 mm and weighs .34 carats. The six diamonds weigh approximately .22 carats total. The ring is a size 7.25 US and weighs 4.4 grams. This elegant piece measures 6.4 mm north to south and 12 mm across, sitting 2.8 mm off the finger, and narrows to 2.1 mm at the back of the band. A fully hallmarked antique, displaying a crown, ’18’, symbol for Chester, date letter ‘D’ for 1904, the maker’s mark ‘A&B’, as well as the number '4761'.
