This Art Nouveau locket was hand crafted in about 1900, probably in Germany, it definitely gives me the Jugendstil feels. The locket is made of ‘835’ silver and is marked as such, it’s got a makers mark of ‘K&L’. This is just such a striking piece, it’s enamel rose is painted thickly and given three dimensional texture, the rose and delicate leaves contrast beautifully with the rich blue background and it’s got a touch of gold all around to give it extra warmth and glow. This locket measures 40 mm north to south and 30 mm across, it’s 6.1 thick, it opens to reveal a locket that’s ready to hold two photos and it weighs 10.2 grams.
A rose so realistic you can almost smell it on the breeze whenever you sport this stunning locket!

I was strolling through the narrow cobblestoned streets just north of Paris, in a small town not used to strangers. I found a sandwich shop and in my best broken French ordered ‘un sandwich avec jambon et fromage’ and a glass of Rosé. The man I ordered from was kind, he moved slowly, enjoying the summer’s heat. The small patio overlooked a valley of clay roofed houses and intertwining streets. I found a table and sat. As I held onto the stem of the clear glass, my bracelet caught the sun’s light, making it glow like a cave of wonders. I sipped the wine, tasting the notes of strawberry and basil, letting the flavors linger on my tongue. I noticed how my wrist looked like the sun itself, giving life to earth, making the heavens envious. I also noticed the view and the toughness of my baguette sandwich, and how the wine gave tastes to the bread that could only be found here, right here, in this place, in this moment.
This antique Edwardian heart padlock link bracelet was handcrafted in England in 1902 of rich and glowing 18 karat gold. It measures 8.25 inches in length and weighs 30.4 grams. Each link measures 10.5 x 16.3 mm. The padlock is engraved, “AMY FROM BOB 16.7.02”. Each link is marked with ’18’ indicating the gold content and the lock is marked for 18 karat as well along with the makers mark ’M&M’. This piece contains a safety chain so you’ll never have to worry about losing it while you wear it out and about.

Platinum Diamond Moonstone Heart and Bow Pendant Necklace

Do you remember that poem, the one about the owl and the pussycat who fall in love and run off to get married? It’s an unlikely pair, an owl and cat, but as they say, love is blind. At the end of the poem they walk hand in hand through the sand and dance by the light of the moon (‘the moon, the moon, and they danced by the light of the moon’). This pendant makes me want to dance by the light of the moon, or the moonstone as it were.
Hand crafted in the Garland era in about 1910, this wonderful necklace features a scrolling ribbon and bow top and moonstone and diamond drop on a chain of platinum. The pendant is 15k backed and platinum topped and set with a heart shaped cabochon moonstone which measures 10.5x9.2x5.6 mm and weighs about 2.24 carats. The heart is set into a halo of 35 rose cut diamonds, there are 3 more diamonds on the bow and another 34 on the ribbon for 72 1-2 mm rose cuts in all. This necklace is unmarked but has been acid tested as 15 karat gold and platinum, the chain is 17.5 inches long and the drop is 35 mm long and 35 mm across at the top.
A necklace of which Edward Lear would approve, I’m sure.

Victorian Silver Soccer Football Locket Pendant

The most popular sport in the world is called Football. Not the kind we play here in the United States with giant pads and helmets, but the kind we call soccer, the kind played with nothing but a ball and a body. It’s played everywhere, in the poorest places on earth and in the richest, in cold and in heat, on dirt, on grass, on astroturf, professionally and just for fun.
This wonderful silver locket features a running soccer player about to kick the ball, it was probably worn originally as a watch fob but would make an excellent pendant. Hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1897, it is fully hallmarked on the back, the marks also show it is made in sterling silver and it has a makers mark for ’S.Bros’. This locket is 37.1 mm long and 18.6 mm across and weighs 5.7 grams. The locket has two interior frame to hold your photos, it opens easily and closes securely.

Unusual Square Garnets Locket Backed Pendant

The sky begins to darken early these days. To combat the darkness, twinkling lights seem to pop up everywhere you go, brightening up the edges. Garnets live for this kind of light, every facet glitters, glowing and flashing like diamonds dipped in rich cabernet. Let them play in candlelight, let them frolic in firelight or strut their stuff in the twinkle lights on your tree.
This is a beautiful and unusual garnet locket, it isn’t set with the traditional rose cut bohemian garnets, and it’s not set with the true flat cut garnets of the Georgian era, rather it set with these very rich and very bright flat square cut garnets, some forty-nine (49) in all. When you add up the carat weight in glittering stones it’s about 16.5 carats. The stones form a lovely pattern on the front of this wonderful locket backed pendant, on the reverse is a locket with glass in a low karat gold, garnet gold frame, this gold tests as about 8 karat. The pendant is beautifully crafted and measures 59.6 mm top to bottom and 29.1 mm across, it is 14.35 mm deep. This wonderful piece is unmarked but tests as garnet gold, it weighs 12 grams. The garnets are generally in very nice condition, a few have very tiny flea bites that are visible with magnification,
