There’s something about a rosary that calms me down. It could be in the timeless tradition, or the sacramental feel. A beautiful beaded chain with a richly gilded silver cross can be a blissful amenity for personal salvation. The Rosary has complemented faith for centuries by praying to the Son through his Mother. It’s liberating, it’s everlasting, and it’s divine.
This Antique French Art Nouveau Silver Gilt Rosary was handcrafted in about 1860. The beads are of rock crystal, clear and sturdy. The medallions contain engravings of Christ with Mary, and the Cross. The crucifix is stunning, bright gold with engraved and detailed flowers on each arm. It’s most certainly a sight to see. It is French and hallmarked as such, and has also been acid tested. It measures 28 inches in length and weighs 62.7 grams.
This necklace is the center of any Catholic’s wardrobe and is an essential part of expressing faith. This historic rosary would make the ideal First Communion gift and would be a graceful accessory around your neck on Sunday morning.

Used by the Druids as a symbol of everlasting life, Mistletoe was thought to aid in fertility. Being green year round, and bearing fruit at the time of the WInter Solstice led to the tradition of hanging Mistletoe in the home at Christmastime and replacing it the next year. Art Nouveau adopted the sensual and vigorous plant as one of it's repeated themes.

There could be many, many uses for this lovely dressing table glass jar. I have a series of them in my bathroom, I use the one like this for q-tips. It might seem a little luxurious to have something so beautiful in the bathroom, but I use it almost everyday, and everyday it gives me a little joy. I don't believe in keeping things this pretty locked away, they need to be used, and this jar could have many, many uses!

His hand began to cramp after writing so intently for so long. His palm slid further and further down the page, slightly smudging the graphite as he wrote. He didn’t stop writing, even when the café lamps dimmed, signifying closing time. The barista didn’t seem to mind his presence as she swept around him, gently setting stools onto tables so she could mop away the dust of the day. She refilled his coffee cup with the leftover dark roast but he was so intent on his notebook he didn’t notice. When the town clock sounded at midnight he finally looked up. The barista was finishing her work, paying him no mind. He looked at his table-scattered pages and dispersed detritus. He gathered his belongings and left a generous tip before slipping out the door into the night air, contemplating his leftover thoughts he had still to write.
