Antique French Two Tone 18 karat Gold Cross Ivy Leaves

It was a warm sunny Sunday morning. She sat in the back pew so she should be in the ray of the sun that shined in from the East, through the stained-glass window. She listened to the preacher as he spoke passionately about the Holy Scriptures, walking back and forth on the chancel, so he could speak to the entire congregation. When the choir sang ’A Mighty Fortress is Our God’, she sang along, happy to express the emotion that the cross around her neck meant to her.

This perfect vintage French cross was made in 18 karat gold around 1910. It was beautifully engraved with detailed ivy leaves fluttering about the front side. It measures 45 x 22.4 mm and weighs 1.8 grams. The French mark of an eagle’s head can be found on this piece, as well as a maker’s mark.

This is a simple gold cross, perfect for a First Communion gift, or to wear to that beautiful sunny Sunday morning for church!
