Antique Guilloche Enamel Silver Locket Grey

He was her everything in this darling world, and would remain that way, in a photograph, kept in a locket, around her neck. He wasn’t gone, not for long, just on another business trip that took him across the pond and away from her side. She kept busy during his long absences with letter writing, working the farm, and hosting her sisters for weekly dinners. His return was the sweetest, as they had a little routine. She would meet him at the train station, dressed to the nines, and they would picnic on the hill, and dance beneath the stars to the music of the night.

This antique Edwardian silver and gray enamel locket was handcrafted around 1910, in England. The front features a gray engine turned, or guilloche, enamel motif; while the back is smooth and polished silver. When opened, this locket reveals a photograph of a handsome Englishman. It contains two frames inside, for holding memories. This piece is hallmarked with the silver purity mark, ‘935’ and the letter ‘f’. This beautiful locket is 36 mm in height with the bale, and 27 mm wide, and weighs 8.4 grams.

I adore these old pieces that hold a picture of someone from long ago. They’re so mysterious! I hope you’ll enjoy this piece, too!
