I woke up the other morning, it was later than usual. The day’s light was out and the coolness of winter had settled into the ground. I wore this pendant, round and golden like the sun, a parallelism and beautiful cliché all in one. Gazing out my back-porch windows I saw that the frost had swathed the grasses and drench the leaves in glittering ice crystals. Birds chattered as they perched on the feeders, flirting and racing around, making me laugh, making the pendant that hung around my neck catch the sunlight. It was all quite the sight to see.
This large and weighty antique Belle Epoque pendant was handcrafted in France around 1900. It’s a round pendant that features a beautiful woman with long golden locks carrying a bundle of fabric (or the Virgin Mary carrying a baby? We weren’t sure!). This elegant piece measures 49.5 mm north to south and 38.7 mm across. It weighs 16 grams. It bears the maker’s mark, “DECHAMPS” and the French eagle’s head mark, indicating it was made in 18 karat gold and assayed in Paris.
I wear it with a thin dark pink ribbon strung through the bale. It gives it that little something extra. Now it’s your turn to make it your own.

Ivy clings, it grows along walls, over stones, up trees, and inches toward the sky, forming a unity with its sturdy base. Jewelry with an ivy motif was given as a representation of fidelity, friendship and eternity during the 1800s. In Britain, ivy was called, “lovestone”, named for the way it clung to stone walls.
These antique French ivy leaf gold earrings were handcrafted around 1890 in 18 karat gold. Each drop earring features a round creamy white pearl at the top with a long drop link chain that leads to an ivy leaf shaped drop dotted with another round pearl. A rose cut diamond can be found at the very top of each earring, adding glimmer to an elegant pair of earrings. Each earring measures 42 x 11 mm and together they weigh 2.1 grams. They bear the eagle head hallmark, indicating they are made in 18 karat gold and they were essayed in Paris.
These earrings have a back to front closure which works just as it sounds. The earring goes through the ear from behind and clips in the front. They are extremely comfortable to wear, but it can take a little time getting used to putting them on. The key is to wiggle the earring instead of trying to just push it through. Don't be surprised if you get hooked on this style of closure once you get used to it!

Night began to fall and the glow of their lanterns lit the path. They were nearing the stone castle that was built on a hill so high it nearly touched the heavens. They told jokes and confessed secrets to each other as they wandered along. Quietly, they entered the castle grounds, trying not to be caught, as a princess and her suitor weren’t supposed to be out alone, especially after dark. Before they went their separate ways, he stopped her to ask just one small question. He slipped a ring onto her finger and she whispered an eager, “Yes!”
This antique Victorian diamond engagement ring was handcrafted in Poland around 1900. This ring features seven sparkling Old European Cut diamonds. The center diamond measures 5.2 mm in diameter and totals .6 carats, it’s a VS1 stone with a bright G color. The diamonds are set in sterling silver while the shank is made in 14 karat gold. The face is reminiscent of a flower in the springtime, or a star in the night sky. This ring is a size 6 and could be re-sized to suit, it weighs 1.6 grams. The face of this glittery ring measures 8.5 x 16 x 5 mm. This piece has been professionally acid tested.
An engagement ring fit for royalty (in my professional opinion). Show her your everlasting love with this timeless classic of a sparkling diamond ring!
