Antique Silver Art Nouveau Pendant of Nude Woman with Wreath

Founded in 1863, the company of Martini & Rossi was, and still is, known for making Vermouth. The Italian company also produced Asti and Prosecco wines.

I found this wonderful pendant while shopping in London and was a bit surprised to turn it over and see the Martini logo, it was clearly made by the company for a promotion, gift or recognition of some sort. The front features an Art Nouveau design of a nude woman holding a crown made from Laurel and Oak leaves. The pendant is signed J. A. Hom on the front and otherwise unmarked; it measures 44 mm top to bottom and 33.3 mm across and is 4 mm thick. We’ve acid tested it and it shows as just below sterling silver. Weighs 15.7 grams.

I am guessing that this pendant was created around 1910, but that’s really a bit of a guess. European in origin.
