Antique Silver Citrine and Moonstone Pendant, Edwardian

She was an English girl, but this was her first visit to Scotland and she was already in love with it. She made a bee line for The Willow Tearoom and sat in the Room de Luxe, the afternoon light shone in through the curved bay windows and she reveled in the sumptuous color scheme of the space, it was at once intimate and lavish. She wore the citrine and moonstone pendant that she had purchased just that morning and thought it went beautifully with Margaret MacDonald’s painting that took up one wall of the room. As though she herself were walking through that Willow Wood.

This wonderfully detailed silver pendant features a central bright yellow citrine kissed with whiskey and four shimmering round moonstones. The pendant is done is fanciful cannetille work with beads and wirework throughout. The lively citrine measures 18.3x13.3x8.2 mm and weighs approximately 10.6 carats, the four moonstones measure 4.4x4.4x2.8 mm each. The pendant measures 62.7 mm long and 36.8 mm wide and is 8.2 mm deep, it weighs 8.2 grams. A lovely thing, indeed. Made in the Edwardian era, about 1910, most likely in England.
