Antique Victorian 18k Gold Mizpah Band Ring

$ 750.00

This romantic Mizpah ring says it all in only one word. The Victorian’s loved these sweet bands as they were big fans of hidden messages. The mizpah is from the bible and means “may the lord watch between thee and me, when we are apart one from the other”.

This wonderful Victorian example of a Mizpah band was hand crafted in England in about 1880-90. The ring is a ‘cigar band’ style, meaning that it is the same width all the way around, in this case it’s 6.5 mm wide. This ring is a size 8.25 and weighs 2.6 grams. It is marked inside the band with a makers mark that’s been lost to time and ’18ct’ for the 18 karat gold of which it’s made. This lovely ring could be resized to suit.
