Antique Victorian 3 Stone Opal Ring in 18k Gold

Opals are by far the most versatile stone you can find, at least when it comes to fashion. Dress it up, dress it down, dazzle in the day, stun at night. This particular ring seems to paint my finger with a the swirl of unknown galaxies and glowing gold.

Three gorgeous cabochon opals line up between gold swirls to create a simple yet noticeably artful ring. The center opal is slightly larger with diameter of 2.7 mm, giving glows of cool colors and an orange flash inside. The outside opals are 2.5 mm in diameter and reflect cool shades. Overall the ring measures 7.5 mm from north to south and narrows to 1.9 mm at the back of the band. The ring is marked ’18ct’ and has also be acid tested to verify that it is 18 karat gold. Handcrafted in England, around 1900, this Victorian piece contains a faded maker's mark that appears to read 'LEB&B'.  It is a size 7 and weighs 2.4 grams.

I suggest wearing this ring to a summer art show. The pieces around you are there for attention but who says you can't be, too?
