Antique Victorian Bloodstone Signet Ring Gold '1887'

$ 1,380.00

This deeply carved Victorian style ring is the kind my father always wore, and his father before him. It is simple to describe; elegant, graceful, classic and strong.

Hand crafted in 9 karat gold with a slight rosy hue, this ring was made in Birmingham, England in 1887. The ring is set with a flat oval of rich bloodstone, a luscious deep green kissed with ample flecks of blood red. The stone is uncarved. The ring has intricate floral scrolling shoulders. This ring measures 10.7 mm north to south and 15 mm across, it sits 3.5 mm off the finger and narrows to 2.5 mm at the back of the band. Fully hallmarked with the marks showing when and where it was made and also ‘9’ and ‘.375’ for 9 karat gold. This ring weighs 1.7 grams and is a size 8.25.
