Antique Victorian Chrysoberyl Solitaire Ring

Chrysoberyl forms in colors ranging from yellow to green. This ring is a soft light green, like the inside of a lime or a kiwi fruit. Chrysoberyl is the third hardest gem, inferior in hardness only to diamonds and corundum. According to lore, chrysoberyl is said to increase concentration and confidence.

This antique Victorian chrysoberyl solitaire ring was handcrafted around 1890 in England. It was made in 18 karat gold and has been acid tested. A light green oval chrysoberyl sits at the center of this simple band, measuring 7.8 x 6.1 x 3.3 mm for a total weight of 1.1 carats. The ring is a size 7 and it weighs 2.9 grams. The ring face measures 8.9 x 6.8 x 4.6 mm.

Talk about a stunner! This ring is something I don’t want to give up, but I like to share, so here you go!
