Antique Victorian Compass Fob Pendant Hallmarked 1882

A compass was more than useful in a time before GPS, before easy access to maps; it could in fact, be a real life saver.

This compass was made to be used as a watch fob, but now could be repurposed as a pendant, or if you’re a pocket watch carrier, used for its original intent. The fob measures 27.5 mm north to south and 20.8 mm across. It is fully hallmarked as being made in London in 1882 of 9 karat gold, and has the makers mark of ‘JG&S’. This wonderful compass still works and could come in useful if your phone runs out of juice!
