Antique Victorian Diamond and Black Enamel Ring

If you love antiques (like I do) and you love jewelry (like I do), then you will be thrilled by this fantastic Victorian ring (like I was).  A twenty point old European mine cut diamond is set in a gold frame and contrasts beautifully against a field of black enamel.

Gorgeously handcrafted in 18 karat gold, this ring is set with a 3 mm sparkling diamond that weighs approximately .2 carats. The scrolling ends of the enamel add wonderful accents to this charming ring.  It is a size 6 US and I would not recommend resizing. The ring is fully hallmarked with the marks showing that it was made in Chester, England, in the year 1900. It measures 7.5 mm wide at the widest and narrows to 3.5 mm at the back of the band. This charming ring is somewhat fragile due to the nature of enamel in general, the current condition is really quite remarkable. I would recommend that this ring not be purchased as an everyday ring, but rather as one that will be worn from time to time. It weighs 3.9 grams.
