I’m not sure there’s anything as classic and as appealing as the combination of black and gold. It’s a look that never goes out of style, the contrast just make the eyes happy!
These late Victorian or early Edwardian earrings were made around 1900 in England. The gold tests as 15 karat gold and has a rich, buttery hue, the black in onyx, cut and smoothed at the top and faceted and flashy on the drops. The earrings are 64 mm long from top to bottom and 10.8 mm across at the widest point. Simple wires allow these long earrings to have plenty of movement and sway. Together they weigh 10.2 grams.
