Sometimes I buy with my eyes, but every once in a while it’s my fingers that do the talking. When I pick up a beautiful, heavy and velvety soft Victorian gypsy ring like this one, I truly have trouble setting it back down. Subtle, yet intriguing, this is the kind of ring that speaks in a whisper and still gets the attention of everyone in the room.
This hand crafted ring is set with three bright white and silky smooth half-pearls. The center pearl is 4.5 mm across, the other two are 4 mm across. The ring is a size 6.75 and could be re-sized a little bit. It is marked with ’18’ inside the band indicating that it is made with 18 karat gold. The ring measures 6 mm north to south and 11.5 mm across and weighs 5.9 grams.
Made in England around 1890, this gem of a gypsy ring would be lovely on its own or as part of a stack!
