Antique Victorian Men's Bloodstone Silver Signet Ring Dated 1882

This handsome, fully hallmarked signet ring was made in Chester, England in 1882. It's bold shield-shaped design is set with a deep green bloodstone strongly flecked with red that measures 13.1 mm top to bottom and 10.8 mm across. The face of this ring measures 15.7 mm x 13.2 mm and sits 2.2 mm off of the finger. The sides of the ring have a soft rounded edge that tapers smoothly away from the top, narrowing to 3.5 mm at the back of the band. Bearing a full set of English hallmarks, this ring is marked with the date mark for 1882, the purity mark for Sterling silver, the town mark for Chester as well as the makers mark of ‘NBe’. This size 10.5 ring weighs 6.8 grams.

Oh, and yes it is a ring made for a man, but strong enough for a woman!
