Antique Victorian Rose Gold Curb Link Bracelet with Heart Lock, c. 1890

The sisters danced like children under the starlight on the soft grass - not far from the lake that shown the moon’s reflection like a disco ball underwater. They wore long silky skirts that twirled around them as they spun to the melody in their heads. They wore matching golden bracelets, gifts they bought themselves to symbolize the knowledge that experience taught them - having a best friend in a sister was the luckiest strike of fate.

This gold link chain bracelet was handcrafted in England in about 1890. The heart shaped lock is engraved with floral details while the links themselves are also engraved, with intricate and beautiful designs. The maker put thought into this piece as the pattern reveals – three links are engraved, three are plain, and so on. The back of all links are plain. This piece is marked with ‘9c’ meaning it was made in 9 karat gold. The Maker’s Mark reveals , ‘H B & S’. This bracelet measures 8 inches in length and weighs a hefty 38.1 grams. It has been professionally acid tested.

This effortless bracelet would look fabulous with your favorite pair of jeans and that white button up blouse you’ve been dying to wear!
