Antique Victorian Silver Bangle Bracelet, Hallmarked Chester, England 1882

She was doing cartwheels in the sand. A hundred yards away her friends sat around a bonfire, roasting marshmallows as dusk settled in. She danced to the music emanating from someone’s faraway phone. Her arms spun in the air, her bangle caught the firelight, her lips were smiling. The wind began to turn cold, the waves started to get rough. She found a spot in his arms, on an old mossy long, where a wool blanket brought them warmth. They whispered into each other’s ears, sharing stories, telling tales.

This embossed antique silver bangle was handcrafted in Chester, England. It’s an oval shape with sophisticated scrolling and timeless metal work. Made in 1882, this chunky bracelet still has style, with an air of classy charm, as contemporary and wearable today as it was. This bangle weighs in at 39.0 grams. It is fully marked and contains the letter year code, ‘t’ which means 1882, a lion passant and the Chester mark, as well as the maker’s mark, ‘B.H.J’. Would fit a wrist up to about 6.5 inches around.

A statement bangle is a must in a collection of accessories. It’s the piece that says you have secrets, but doesn’t say what they are.
