Antique Victorian Silver Double Lion Head Bracelet

The mighty lion has been a symbol of royalty and nobility in England for centuries. Even in American, we used the lion as the ideal icon for those same values until the eagle of freedom took its place. A roaring lion is seen as powerful, courageous, and prestigious. Medieval warriors with great skill who were known for their bravery were nicknamed, “The Lion”, hence the nickname of King Richard, ‘The Lionheart’. This symbol is found throughout England, on shields, in heraldry, on sports team logos, and even often as door knockers. It’s a sign of valor and determination.

This fantastic antique silver double lion head bracelet was handcrafted in England around 1880. It’s a fabulous piece featuring a highly detailed design of two lion heads that face each other at the clasp. It measures 7.25 inches in length and weighs 30.8 grams. Each lion head measures 20 mm wide and 19 mm high. The chain measures 15 mm wide. It bears no marks and has been acid tested.

This awesome silver bracelet would look fierce around your wrist.
