Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Collar and Locket Necklace

It was foggy as she sat in the park, with her back straight, gazing into the distance. She looked like a Renoir, an impression on a bench. Her hair was long, with waving curls of brown. Her face was in profile, reading the paper. A small coffee sat next to her, with empty sugar packets scattered near it. Around her neck was a collar of silver with a locket at the end. It was the brightest thing about her, as though there was a silver light resting on her ivory blouse. It was spectacular.

This antique Victorian silver collar and locket pendant necklace was handcrafted in 1879 in Birmingham, England. The oval locket pendant measures 60 x 36 x 8.3 mm and features an engraved sunburst motif. When opened, two frames lined in white fabric are revealed, awaiting your favorite photograph. The collar is made up of two link shapes, rectangular links, measuring 28.3 x 5.2 x 10 mm, and round links measuring 12 mm in diameter. This necklace measures 17 inches in length and weighs 50.9 grams. It is fully hallmarked on the locket and bears the date letter, “e”, the anchor for Birmingham, the lion passant for England, and the maker’s mark, “J.T & S.”

This gorgeous piece is the statement you’ve been dying to make. A silver locket on a silver chain? You can’t go wrong with that!
