This ring was given on Christmas, I don’t know to whom or by whom, but it is inscribed inside the band with ‘J.G. to M.W.’ and the date ’25-12-30’, Christmas Day 1930. Hand crafted in 18 karat gold with platinum set diamonds. The diamonds are Old European cuts, the center is .25 carats, the next two out are .2 carats each and the smallest are .15 carats each, a total of .95 carats. This ring measures 4.2 mm north to south and 14.7 mm across at the face, it sits 4.6 mm off the finger and narrows to 1.2 mm at the back of the band. This size 6 Art Deco era ring is marked inside the band with the aforementioned inscription as well as ’18ct’ and ‘Plat’ and a makers mark of ‘M&S’, it weighs 2 grams.
